This helps eliminate useless items from your pack. One useful tip is to consider using water purification tablets or a device that will purify and filter your water, as this will avoid having to carry several containers of water.
When looking for lightweight camping gear, you'll want to make sure it suits your needs. If you'll be hiking in cold conditions, don't use the thinner sleeping bags because ther lighter, instead go for the heavier sleeping bags and eliminate items from your pack to make up for the extra weight. Also, by using hiking poles you'll help ease and distribute the weight of your pack.
