Crested Butte, Colorado Crested Butte is in the Elk Mounted Range, and has a ski village just a few miles from a Victorian mining town. The area provides skiing for every level and an exciting stretch of 550 acres of ungroomed, steep terrain, perfect for the extreme adventurer to test their skills on.
