Telluride, Colorado Telluride is in the San Juan Mountains, and boasts a vertical drop of 3,522 feet. Here you'll find two high-speed state-of-the-arts quads as well as a triple for easy acces. Don't miss out on this amazing skiing destination for the very best adventure. Telluride has a free gondola that will transport your party from downtown to the Mountain Village and slopes. This area has many historic buildings, plus five star restaurants and you'll be able to spend a relaxing day at one their many spas. Steamboat, Colorado Steamboat Springs is located in northwestern Colorado, and is noted for being one of the best skiing locations in the Rocky Mountains, which is perhaps why it's called Ski Town USA, the place where some of the best know winter Olympians grew up. This area has over 3,000 acres of ski areas and everyone including beginners can take a few lessons at the resort from Olympians and World Ski champions. An added bonus is that kids ski for free and you'll love plowing through Steamboat's 330 inches of annual dry, light snow. This is one terrific area for an unforgettable family vacation. Crested Butte, Colorado Crested Butte is in the Elk Mounted Range, and has a ski village just a few miles from a Victorian mining town. The area provides skiing for every level and an exciting stretch of 550 acres of ungroomed, steep terrain, perfect for the extreme adventurer to test their skills on. The modern ski village accomodates up to 6,500 guests and brags an amazingly wide range of state-of-the-art amenities to suit every taste.
